The Breakfast Club

Getting yourself into detention sucks. What makes it even worse is having to attend school for seven hours on Saturday because of it. Having your friends there would definitely make it easier, but this time, you’re on your own with four complete strangers. How long will it take for these seven hours to go by?

The Breakfast Club tells the story of five teenagers who have detention on Saturday morning. All five students come from different social groups; there is an athlete, a basket case, a brain, a princess, and a criminal. They would never talk to each other on a normal day at school; they have absolutely nothing in common except detention.  They are stuck with each other for seven hours, so they have no other option but to start talking.  The discussions range from school life to their life at home. Even though the group was meeting for the first time in their lives, they impacted each other far more than if they had known each other for their whole lives. Because they didn’t know anything about anyone else, they had a different perspective and were able to see each person for who they really were. Once detention is over, will they speak to each other again?
